ABOUT ME

Thank you for visiting my website.

A bit about me.....I spent most of my working life within the Financial Industry. When I was made redundant I saw this as a positive to change my career direction. I have always been passionate about sport and fitness, so I decided to follow a dream of becoming a ski instructor. I worked 3 seasons as a ski host in the French Alps, whilst working towards and achieving my British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) level 1 and 2 Ski Qualifications.

Fast-forward my son, my love for sport, and an active lifestyle, I took to running again having been an avid runner for over 10 years. I started to compete in races of all distances including marathons and I continue to race at a decent level. I ran The ASICS Manchester marathon in April 2019, which was my 2nd marathon achieving a 'Good For Age Time' for The London Marathon, as well as qualifying time for The Boston Marathon. *picture is of me, 100 metres before crossing the finish line at Manchester!

In 2021, I embarked on my running journey to complete all six of the World Major Marathons. To date I have completed five of the six World Marathon Majors - London Marathon (Oct 2021), Chicago Marathon (Oct 2022), Berlin (Sept 2023, New York (Nov 2023) and Tokyo (Mar 2024). I will be running the Boston Marathon in April 2024 which will complete my journey within 3 years. The Six Star Medal is a huge accomplishment and special achievement marker for those who have run all six of the World Marathon Majors.

As a keen runner, racer, skiier and fitness enthusiast, I have picked up a few niggles along the way and I know how frustrating it is when your body cannot move the way you want it to. I visited a Sports Therapist on a few occasions and felt the benefits almost instantly. I was so impressed with the physical and mental benefits that I really started to develop a fascination of the human body, how it all works and why it works the way it does. This is when I decided to train as a sports massage therapist myself, so that I could help others.

I qualified in July 2018 as a Level 4 sports massage therapist after long hours of study and understanding how to fix issues from injuries, relieve stress and now I enjoy it more than ever and love that I can work my business around my son. I am always looking and updating my skillset, to ensure my clients get the very best treatment available.

I enjoy what I do and love to help people. I specialise in running and athletics although I am open to helping everyone recover, get back to exercise, keep them running and generally help everyone reach their peak performance.

I hold level 3 and 4 ITEC diplomas in Sports Massage Therapy. Adding to my skills, I hold a John Gibbons Master Class certification in Kinesio Taping as well as a certification in Acupuncture for Sports Injuries and muscular skeletal issues.
