A New Chapter Begins

In August 2025, I officially began a new chapter as a Podiatry Apprentice, working towards a BSc in Podiatry with the University of Plymouth 🎓
Never in a million years did I think I’d find myself working towards a degree — let alone making the move into healthcare — but here I am, combining everything I love about movement, anatomy, and rehabilitation in a completely new and rewarding way.
My journey into podiatry grew from my work as a soft tissue therapist and my lifelong love of running. The more I studied gait, biomechanics, and rehab, the more fascinated I became with how much starts from the ground up — quite literally, with the feet.
As part of my apprenticeship, I’m learning about all aspects of foot health — from biomechanics and rheumatology to diabetic care and high-risk foot management. It’s a huge learning curve, but an incredible opportunity to understand how podiatry can not only improve movement and quality of life, but in many cases, help prevent serious complications and even save lives.
It’s been a big leap (and not without its challenges), but one I’m incredibly proud of.
I’ll still be offering sports and soft tissue therapy in the Poole area on a limited basis — mainly evenings and weekends — so my loyal clients need not worry ❤️
Here’s to new beginnings, lifelong learning, and following the paths (or feet!) that lead us forward 👣💫
